Lisa Jenks, MD

Lisa Jenks, MD graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Medicine in 1986. After residency training at Ohio State University, she began a career in emergency medicine.

In 2007, Dr. Jenks opened Genesis MedSpa in Colorado Springs. Under her direction, Genesis became one of the largest and prestigious medical spas in Southern Colorado, won the BBB’s coveted ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ award each of the five times they applied and won numerous ‘Best Of’ awards. In
2015, Genesis was named “Best MedSpa” by Medical Aesthetics, Inc. In addition, Genesis is in the “Top 250” tier nation-wide with Allergan. In June 2023, Princeton MedSpa Partners acquired Genesis and retained Dr. Jenks as the medical director. She retired from Genesis in June, 2025. In February, 2026, she became Chief Medical Director for La Vida Veloa Medical Spas.


Dr. Jenks has been a speaker for Syneron/Candela and has written numerous articles and lectured on how to start successful medical spas. She has been a member of Skin Inc.’s advisory board and has been a mentor with Nonclinical Careers for Physicians since 2017.


Together with Ashley James, Dr. Jenks established DermAesthetics Consulting (DAC) in 2019. In 2023, she gave up her partnership in the organization but has continued as an instructor. She and Ashley offer certifications in lasers, PDO threading, neurotoxins, and fillers, as well as conduct seminars on customer
service skills and business building techniques. In addition, they offer consulting services for doctors wanting to open their own medical aesthetic business. They pride themselves on providing personalized training and consulting programs that allow them to share their expertise in ways that provide maximum benefit to their students and clients.

Throughout her career, Dr. Jenks has volunteered extensively. Most recently, her volunteer work has included SET of Colorado Springs, which provides medical care for the indigent population and various volunteer jobs at her church.

In her spare time, Dr. Jenks enjoys spending time with her three grown children, traveling, hiking, and quilting.
